Bangladeshi Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus has been granted bail by a court in Bangladesh after being sentenced to six months in prison for violating labor laws. Yunus, also the Chairman of Grameen Telecom, and three others filed an appeal against the labor court verdict, which was accepted by the Labour Appellate Tribunal in Dhaka. Yunus has vowed to overcome what his supporters claim are politically motivated court cases to pursue his environmental and economic policies.
