Uber and Instacart have partnered to offer restaurant delivery services. Instacart will introduce a 'Restaurants' tab in its app for U.S. shoppers, with Uber Eats drivers handling the deliveries. The deal is not exclusive, and Uber aims to expand such partnerships in the future.
Uber Eats has a great scam where they offer you 15% off on delivery but mark everything up by probably like 20%. Genius stuff.

.@dkhos says Uber wants to leverage the extensibility of the Uber Eats platform to build more of these delivery partnerships in the future. (in other words, Uber-CART deal isn't exclusive) Where else can Uber Eats insert itself? source: https://t.co/pubomFMiig https://t.co/6QQUzHp7I3

I can’t imagine both Instacart and Uber getting a cut of the delivery fee makes financial sense. So I suspect this is a play for more content in the Instacart app as they lean more into advertising so they don’t get a meaningful cut while Uber sees this as a distribution deal. https://t.co/BJlOYf9eQp
