Pakistan Vows Retaliation to Indian Missile Attacks on Three Locations, Citing Article 51 of UN Charter

The Pakistan military has confirmed that India launched missile attacks on Pakistan at three locations. In response, Pakistan has declared it will retaliate at a time, place, and manner of its choosing. This stance was reiterated by the Pakistani military spokesman and the Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR). Pakistan has formally informed the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) of its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, emphasizing its intention to respond appropriately to the aggression. The Pakistani National Security Council and Prime Minister's Office have issued statements underscoring Pakistan's reserved right to avenge the loss of innocent lives and violation of its sovereignty. Meanwhile, Pakistan's UN envoy described India's attacks as unjustified and a blatant violation of international conventions, while expressing openness to dialogue or mediation to de-escalate tensions. The Pakistani representative also noted receiving international support for investigating the Kashmir attack.
