Yuga Labs has announced that Moonbirds will be metaverse-ready, exactly two years after the controversial Otherdeeds event, which was deemed a disaster for holders. Despite this, the original Moonbirds art will remain under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero), meaning it is public domain and cannot be revoked, as affirmed by Section 2 of the CC0 license. However, Yuga Labs plans to introduce a new art direction with intellectual property restrictions, aiming to transition users to this new art.
Don’t forget today starts the new Moonbirds (aka Yuga Labs) rule where they can revoke CC0 privileges. Don't forget the Deadline is today!!! Moonburd team thinks you can just un-CC0 something 😂 🤣 Whats next - they gonna declare bankruptcy? 💀 https://t.co/vHZFaiJaFr

I see a lot of people confused about how they could reverse the CC0 decision The answer is they can't The original Moonbirds art is CC0 forever But "we’ll be introducing a new art direction" means they will try to switch to everyone to new art that does have IP restrictions
“You can’t make this shit up” post of the week Yuga announces your Moonbirds will be metaverse ready two years to-the-day after the Otherdeeds debacle. Probably the biggest disaster (for holders) of the last cycle. https://t.co/AtTRo61R95
1) You can't put the CC0 genie back in the bottle 2) I'm not sure why you would want to. If some rando wants to build out a lucrative Moonbirds derivative you should let them https://t.co/o7OTNgoZ2k
