Nick Sirianni, head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, has announced a change in the team's offensive leadership, citing the need for 'fresh ideas' and to eliminate staleness in the offense. The decision to move on from the current coordinators on both sides of the ball reflects Sirianni's pursuit of a new offensive scheme and coordinator. The pressure is on Sirianni to make the right choice as the team heads into a crucial offseason. Several potential candidates, including Kliff Kingsbury, Kellen Moore, and Jerrod Johnson, are being considered for the Eagles' OC job. The move to bring in an outside OC with 'fresh ideas' may lead to an expected transition in coaches for quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Can confirm former Seattle DC Clint Hurtt is headed to Philly to become the #Eagles defensive line coach. Hurtt had several options to coach DLs, agreed with Eagles. @tompelissero first on it

The #Eagles are expected to hire former #Seahawks defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt as their D-line coach, per sources. Sweeping staff changes continue under Nick Sirianni, who also is expected to hire one of Hurtt’s assistants in Seattle, Karl Scott, to coach DBs. https://t.co/JlGbVqiy2U
On this date 3 years ago, Nick Sirianni had his much-discussed introductory news conference. On this date last year, Sirianni coached the Eagles to a 31-7 win over SF for a trip to the Super Bowl. To which of those Jan. 29s are the Eagles/Sirianni closer? That's one of the…
A nudge as Nick Sirianni searches for a new OC with “new ideas.” The Eagles QB room may undergo an expected transition in coaches for Jalen Hurts. https://t.co/XNWWqxLpDm
Kliff Kingsbury, Kellen Moore and Jerrod Johnson are the known interviews so far. But who else might Nick Sirianni turn to for ‘fresh ideas’ for his ‘stale’ offense? Here are 9 candidates (and potential candidates) for the Eagles OC job: https://t.co/y9EWTF5ox5 https://t.co/KImD7WwNdO
Who will Nick Sirianni hire as the Eagles' next OC? Here are 9 candidates who could bring 'fresh ideas' to the 'stale' Philly offense. For @NFLonFox: https://t.co/y9EWTF5ox5 https://t.co/gHyTue86xp
One thing I will say in defense of Sirianni in this situation: Once you decide you need a new OC, to work with an offensive head coach, you’re not gonna attract top candidates if the job description is “spruce up Nick’s offense a little.” You kinda hafta cede control.
I’m someone who likes CEO-coach setups & that’s what Nick Sirianni was since giving up play-calling to Shane Steichen in Year 1 similar to Harbaugh and Campbell now. Taking offensive autonomy from him is more comparable to what Jerry Jones did to Jason Garrett at the end #Eagles
As Nick Sirianni alluded to, a number of his assistants will have to wait until the #Eagles hire coordinators to know their fates. OL coach Jeff Stoutland, to no surprise, will be returning. Sirianni referenced pass game coordinator Kevin Patullo twice on Wednesday, so he is…

Nick Sirianni: We got stale on offense, new coordinator is meant to take that away https://t.co/nA1MRP3MNJ
#Eagles’ Nick Sirianni is looking for a new offensive scheme and coordinator — maybe at his own expense. Whether he came to that conclusion himself is unclear, and could affect his standing, but change is coming for Jalen Hurts and Co. My column: https://t.co/LBmdWWkkIe

Sirianni: "To me, we got a little bit stale on offense by the end of the year, and these ideas and this new person coming in is meant to take away the staleness and add the value of what they're adding to the offense."
