The New Orleans Saints are expected to move their training camp to Irvine, California, marking the 12th different camp site and the farthest location since 1969. The decision was influenced by the team's familiarity with the Orange County area and the favorable weather and playing conditions. The move may lead to joint practices with the Rams or Chargers.

Interesting decision here by the #Saints. Could see some joint practices with #Rams or #Chargers (have in the past) going forward... https://t.co/uycOcl8C9A
This will be the 12th different training camp site for the Saints and the farthest flung location since 1969, when they trained at Cal Western College in San Diego. The Saints also spent a week of their 2009 camp in Oxnard, Calif., where the Cowboys regularly train.
Because of the far-flung location of camp, I would expect the NFL to schedule the Saints' first and second preseason games on the West Coast. The Saints could then break camp and return to NOLA for their final exhibition at home.

The Saints are familiar with the Orange County area, having practiced against the Chargers in Costa Mesa for four of the last seven years. The idyllic SoCal weather and pristine playing fields were major considerations in the decision.
We've been sitting on this news for a while now. Finally able to make it public... The Saints are expected to move training camp out west. Here's where they're headed. https://t.co/3yeUJ1n6WL via @nolanews
