Jacksonville Jaguars' wide receiver DJ Chark faced criticism after dropping three consecutive long passes during a game against the Carolina Panthers. The drops occurred on three straight plays, with Chark failing to secure the ball despite tight coverage. Quarterback Bryce Young provided Chark with multiple opportunities to make plays, but all three attempts were unsuccessful. The missed opportunities were particularly costly as they could have resulted in significant gains for the team.
Bryce Young played poorly in Week 17 but these three straight drops by DJ Chark, on three consecutive dropbacks, outlines again how this is a losing situation from top to bottom ❌ 1st & 10. 3rd & 7. 4th & 7. All 30-yard gains. https://t.co/WfnzDWYP8T
Not sure I've ever seen that before: Panthers WR DJ Chark had both hands on 3 straight long completions, all of us 20-plus yards. He dropped all 3 passes. Yes, the coverage was tight. There was hand-fighting. But 0-for-3?! You just can't do that as an NFL wideout.
Bryce just gave Chark 3 opportunities to make a play, and not one of those plays got made.
Three drops on the same drive 1st down. 3rd down. 4th down. all 3 would have gotten them down to the 1 yard line DJ Chark is horrible https://t.co/uBqB5hPiQj
Three straight plays with the ball hitting Chark's hands that end up incomplete
Here is the CBS video of Bryce Young slamming down a tablet after another unsuccessful Panthers series early in the game. Jacksonville leads, 19-0. https://t.co/KyTERKujB2
