The New York Giants have designated wide receiver Cole Beasley for return from the practice squad injured reserve (IR) ahead of their game against his former team, the Buffalo Bills. In order to make room for Beasley, the Giants released cornerback Amani Oruwariye and wide receiver Cam Sims from the practice squad. The team had initially waived two players, Sims and Oruwariye, when they only needed one spot for Beasley. Additionally, the Giants terminated the contracts of Sims and Oruwariye from the practice squad. The Giants have opened the window for Beasley to return to practice from the IR-practice squad.
