The Denver Broncos have had a busy period with roster changes and injury concerns. The team released DB Keidron Smith from the practice squad in anticipation of adding safety Kareem Jackson, but he was claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans. Despite the setback, the Broncos can still finish with their first winning record since 2016 if they overcome their current injury challenges. The Broncos re-signed Smith to the practice squad following Jackson's claim. Injury updates include OLB Baron Browning and WR Courtland Sutton, who are both in concussion protocol and did not practice, along with RB Samaje Perine and RB Dwayne Washington. WR Marvin Mims appeared on the injury report with a hamstring issue after being limited in practice, and his status for the upcoming game against the Chargers is uncertain. OLB Nik Bonitto was limited in practice due to a knee injury, safety Justin Simmons missed practice because of an illness, and TE Greg Dulcich also did not practice due to hamstring and foot issues.
