Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who had been sidelined since suffering a cardiac arrest nine months ago, returned to the field in Orchard Park, NY, and is now on the Bills' active roster. His return was marked by a prayer with his teammates before their game against the Miami Dolphins. Hamlin's return was necessitated by the absence of Jordan Poyer due to a knee injury. Despite being a healthy scratch for the first three weeks of the season, Hamlin is expected to have a significant role on special teams.
