Wright as the defensive quality control coach. Staley, in his first media session, expressed his enthusiasm for working with head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. He also highlighted his excitement to work closely with star player Nick Bosa.

Brandon Staley just had his first 49ers media session -- along with other defensive assistants. Staley answered questions for 30 minutes and emphasized that he's here because he wants to work with Shanahan and Lynch.
