New York Attorney General Tish James and district attorneys from all 62 counties have signed a statement condemning the rise in antisemitic incidents. They pledged to investigate and prosecute all hate crimes and acts of violence to the fullest extent possible. This joint statement comes in response to an unprecedented increase in antisemitic crimes across New York, including targeting Jewish homes. The Anti-Defamation League has applauded this commitment, urging other states to follow New York's leadership. District Attorneys from across the state, including Westchester DA Mimi Rocah and Queens DA Melinda Katz, stand united against antisemitism and have vowed to ensure the safety and protection of all New Yorkers. Calls for the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights division to investigate these crimes have also been made. These incidents have dangerously escalated in recent weeks.
