Detective Paul DiGiacomo, President of the Detectives' Endowment Association (DEA), has retired after 42 years of service to New York City. DiGiacomo, who followed in his father's footsteps by joining the NYPD, spent the majority of his career advocating for his fellow detectives. His retirement, marked by a walkout ceremony, has been widely acknowledged and celebrated by colleagues and city officials, including NYC Council Member Bob Holden and NYPD Commissioner. Additionally, Detective Osvaldo Collado Jr. of the 32 Precinct retired after 30 years of service, and Detective Al Reyes of Bronx Narcotics Major Case retired as well, celebrated by Bronx Welfare Officer Carlos Lozada. The DEA also congratulated Detective Renzo Silva of the 75 Precinct Squad on his retirement after 22 years of service.
