Various organizations and individuals in New Jersey and Los Angeles have been actively involved in giving back to their communities ahead of Thanksgiving. CBS New York, in partnership with local food banks, launched the #BetterTogether: Season of Giving campaign in New Jersey. The 24th annual Oscar De La Hoya Foundation Turkey giveaway in East LA saw the distribution of over 500 turkeys and Thanksgiving dinners to families. Additionally, public figures like Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and NYC Mayor Eric Adams were seen participating in Thanksgiving distribution events, emphasizing the importance of giving back during the holiday season.
