A 42-year-old man was tackled and beaten by a group of New York City subway riders after he allegedly grabbed and restrained a 20-year-old woman on the Manhattan-bound J-line platform at Norwood Avenue in Brooklyn on Sunday morning, according to police and video posted online. The confrontation, captured in a TikTok video that has drawn millions of views, is the latest high-profile instance of subway riders taking matters into their own hands amid heightened concerns about transit safety. Police said their investigation is ongoing.
