Sixteen individuals from the Bronx have been charged with distributing narcotics and carrying and using firearms in connection with an armed drug trafficking operation on Valentine Ave, active from 2012 to the present. A federal indictment has highlighted their involvement in a continuing criminal enterprise. The charges come as a result of a collaborative effort between the Southern District of New York (@SDNYnews), NYPD detectives (@NYPDDetectives), and other law enforcement partners. One of the lead defendants was arrested at 6 am and has pleaded not guilty at their arraignment. The case is significant enough that two Magistrate Judges are assigned to it, indicating the scale and complexity of the operation.
