A series of fires in Brooklyn has resulted in one fatality and serious injuries to at least one person. The first incident, a 2-alarm fire at 1228 47th Street in Flatbush, was deemed accidental, caused by the illegal use of a torch on a combustible roof, according to FDNY Fire Marshals. This fire claimed one life and injured another person. Subsequently, a 4-alarm fire at 413 E 3 Street in Brooklyn's Kensington neighborhood required the response of over 30 units. Another fire, exacerbated by solar panels, seriously injured a woman and destroyed two homes. In total, the FDNY deployed 60 members from 12 units to manage these emergencies.
