Tulane University's basketball team faced off against the 24th-ranked Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in a high-stakes game. Despite a strong effort, Tulane suffered a heartbreaking 85-84 loss to FAU in a game marked by intense competition and controversial calls. The game saw Tulane's Jaylen Forbes making a significant impact with his scoring, but ultimately, FAU secured the win. This loss was particularly painful for Tulane, given their earlier efforts to rally and take the lead. The defeat followed a previous game where Tulane had rallied from a 14-point deficit to win in overtime against Tulsa, demonstrating the team's resilience and determination.

#Tulane has fallen behind by 9 to Tulsa after leading by 5 and appearing to be in control. One three raining in after another, the last two by Matt Reed, a 6-9 freshman who struggled to make easy shots under the basket and had hit 7 3s for the year. Wave settling for early 3s.

I've watched the Tulane foul a few more times on replay. Fair to say he got Martin on the follow through. The fact that the shot missed so badly (without the defender touching the ball) is a tell. So I'll amend and say the call was correct. Reffing is really really hard.
Martin makes last-second free throws to lift No. 24 FAU over Tulane, 85-84 https://t.co/dxfY5SAixZ
