Tulane University's basketball team beat Mississippi College 83-72 in an exhibition game. The game was not as close as the score indicates, with Tulane's Jaylen Forbes scoring 18 points and Collin Holloway scoring 16. In a football game against Rice, Tulane dominated the first quarter, leading 10-0. They outgained Rice 326-103 in the first half. However, Rice made a comeback in the second half, cutting Tulane's lead to 27-21. In the end, Tulane won the game 30-28, improving their overall record to 8-1. Tulane is expected to be ranked around 20th or 21st in the AP poll and is currently ranked 24th in the college football playoff rankings.
