Providence College basketball game between the Friars and Georgetown Hoyas saw chaotic scenes as students trampled each other to get into the arena. Despite the frenzy, the game was closely contested, with the Friars ultimately securing a win over the Hoyas, much to the delight of the passionate Providence fans.
Give the Providence fans credit today. They came out, drank a lot, booed Cooley relentlessly, and it doesn't appear any of them crossed a line. And they got to see a Providence win over Cooley's Hoyas. Good day in Friartown.
I’ll give these Georgetown players credit. You’re walking into the most hostile atmosphere you will ever play in. Early in second half, this looked like it could be an easy Providence win. Hoyas fought back.
Friars are 17-23 from 2 and tied with #Hoyas with 6:51 to play. Unusual.
Don't think @PCFriarsmbb were expecting this: we have a game. Georgetown won't go away. Eating up 2nd chance points and offensive boards. Friars up 37-33 at the break.
