The NCAA is moving closer to expanding the men's basketball tournament. NCAA leadership has presented Division I commissioners with models that would expand the current 68-team field to either 72 or 76 teams. The expansion could include additional at-large selections and at least one more First Four site. This change could be implemented as early as the 2025-26 season. Sources tell @YahooSports that this makes the most sense.
