Wake Forest gets a run in the 4th on Liam Willson's second hit of the game and with some help. Right fielder Noah Soles slipped as he was fielding the ball and it rolled past him, allowing Antonio Morales to score from first base and Willson to wind up at 3rd.
Josh Hartle gets the shutdown inning Wake Forest needed after taking a 4-1 lead. Gave up a leadoff single and 1-out single; struck out Jacob Cozart and got a first-pitch groundout by Brandon Butterworth.
Wake's lead was short-lived, as Luke Nixon blooped a double down the LF line and Alex Sosa singled up the middle to drive him in. The Deacons *just* got out of the inning after a Seaver King error. Liam Willson made a diving catch in LF to keep it tied at 1-1.
