The Miami Hurricanes won their second consecutive overtime game, defeating the Virginia Cavaliers 29-26. The game was tied at the end of regulation, and Miami decided to go to overtime instead of attempting a field goal. Virginia took a 26-23 lead in overtime with a successful field goal, but Miami responded with a touchdown by freshman Mark Fletcher to secure the victory. This win makes Miami bowl eligible. The Hurricanes' last four games have all been decided by 10 points or less.
