Memphis freshman guard Carl Cherenfant (@5Kingcarl) has officially entered the transfer portal, becoming the third player from the team to do so this offseason. Cherenfant, a 6-5 guard from Florida and a former top-150 recruit, has not completely ruled out the possibility of returning to Memphis. His decision follows teammates Jonathan Pierre and Jayhlon Young into the portal. Despite these departures, Memphis still has several players eligible to return, including David Jones, Nicholas Jourdain (announced he'd be back), Ashton Hardaway, Joe Cooper, and Noah Stansbury.
