The officiating at the end of the GT-Penn State game would be a sore point for either coach. It was really bad. Like really bad. GT probably deserved the way it ended based on how bad two earlier calls were.
Tough loss for Penn State at Madison Square Garden. That didn’t look like a foul to me late and if anything there was a potential charge call on Georgia Tech right before it. Alas, Nittany Lions fall 82-81 in a game that was really good until the last three seconds.
Penn State falls 82-81 in overtime to Georgia Tech on a really bad foul call with 2.1 seconds to go. Refs delivered a win to Georgia Tech, but the reality is that neither team deserved to win. Just some terrible, terrible basketball.

Tragically poor foul call on Penn State in overtime against Georgia Tech. Can't make that call with 2 seconds left.
Timeout Penn State with 2.1 left.
Kelly hits both FTs, GT leads 82-81 with 2.1 left.
Just an inexplicable sequence in Georgia Tech/Penn State at the end of overtime. About eight fouls happened that weren't called, and then a little nickel-dimer was called on PSU. I don't get it.
That was something, Penn State fouled Miles Kelly with 2.1 seconds left and GT will have two FTs.
Clary hits a bucket with 23 seconds left, Penn State up 81-80 and Damon burns his final timeout.
Reeves drives the baseline and lays it in, GT leads 80-79 with 35 seconds left.
