Dakota Leffew, a former guard from Mount St. Mary's, has officially committed to the University of Georgia, marking him as the third player Georgia has added from the transfer portal this season and the second from the same program. Leffew, a resident of Hampton, Georgia, chose Georgia over other interested programs such as Syracuse due to a superior Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) package offered. He was a standout player last season, earning All-MAAC 1st Team honors with averages of 17.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.
Didn’t we already establish Mike White as a #MAACHoops sicko, @Sam_Federman? Noah Thomasson last year, De’Shayne Montgomery earlier this month, and now, Dakota Leffew for his homecoming. https://t.co/w17RFuBNK8
Mount St. Mary’s transfer guard Dakota Leffew has committed to Georgia (On3 had it 1st). His visit to #Cuse went well and the Orange were leader in the clubhouse for awhile but he ultimately goes closer to home (Hampton Ga resident) and for what I'm told was the best NIL package
