Kristaps Porzingis, currently on a minutes restriction, provided a health update following his performance in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, where he scored 20 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots in 20 minutes. He also mentioned having an extra day of rest. During the subsequent game, Porzingis appeared to be struggling with his movement. He was seen limping into a timeout after a PJ Washington follow-up hoop at 6:21, with the training staff attending to him. Despite initially waving them off, he continued to show signs of discomfort and was eventually replaced by Al Horford after another timeout at 4:40.
Porzingis spending another timeout with the trainer stretching out that leg. He’s out of the game — was not moving well the last few minutes https://t.co/k6lAdNsmJj
Porzingis not moving all that fluidly after going down during the PJ Washington follow-up hoop at 6:21. And now Horford is replacing him after a timeout at 4:40.
Porzingis either hurt or gassed
Porzingis a little gimpy going into that last timeout. Training staff huddled around him for a minute but he waved them away. Hopping up and down now as Boston breaks its huddle.
