The NBA has announced New York Knicks forward Julius Randle as the recipient of the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award for January. Randle is being honored for his significant contributions to local youth, including his efforts that led to raising more than $900,000 for the Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School in the Bronx. In recognition of his achievements, the NBA will donate $10,000 to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Kids. Randle will be recognized for this award at tonight's Warriors-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden (MSG).
