The Golden State Warriors have faced criticism following their 15-17 record and a demoralized vibe at the end of 2023. Fans and analysts have expressed frustration with coach Steve Kerr's lineup decisions, particularly starting Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson together. Kerr's approach has been questioned, with concerns about defensive capabilities and lack of roster continuity. Despite Kerr's efforts to find a defensive boost, the team's struggles continue. The team's performance has led to calls for changes in the coaching staff and roster.
Kerr wonโt find a rotation involving CP3 that will satisfy all the team needs (& fan gripes) because of his philosophies, but also because the roster/payroll doesnโt work. Expecting/hoping $30m CP3 to only play 16 non-Steph minutes reveals the true problem. https://t.co/eMEST6WCPU
Steve Kerr says he will roll with the Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce Jackson-Davis starting five for a while.

I should have known even if TJD gets more minutes, Kerr would still find new ways to lose. He did just that by starting CP/Curry/Klay tonight, a horrendous combo that combined to grab 6 rebounds. CP/Curry are not bad individual defenders, but combining them makes the TEAM tooโฆ
You undid the "defensive boost" of starting Trayce as soon as you put CP next to Curry/Klay. You're playing 2 old/ancient small guys who are PGs on the floor at the same time. CP/Curry/Klay = zero size/defense/rebounding in starting lineup. A charlatan can't comprehend this. https://t.co/D96Txk4Krk
Kerr has played Saric at C, the position they call the "anchor position", the whole season, plays 3G lineups that can't defend - started them tonight - and wonders why he can't find enough grit. The entire fanbase should be going at this guy. https://t.co/acQAGgbuCT
He be telling on himself in the post game man No way youโre looking for a defensive boost and land on a Steph/CP3 backcourt vs Luka Doncic man Kerr has not been good this year https://t.co/f5Hgfk0B1O
Steve Kerr "loves" the Warriors' roster but says it's a problem they haven't found the grit where "you pull together and just play for the group." https://t.co/nx5QhGmOru
Kerr says he tinkered with the starting lineup in hopes of a defensive "boost" and unlocking Steph by pairing him with CP3 https://t.co/rHKdFqTVKh
Steve Kerr on Warriors: โWe have good chemistry, but we havenโt found that grit every good team needs, when you pull together and just play for the group. Weโre not there yet, and thatโs a problem.โ
Say it with me everyone: GET STEVE KERR OFF THIS TEAM. This guy keeps asking for grit while starting CP/Curry/Klay together. How can Curry give you "grit" while playing SG? He's 6'2". How can a cooked Klay give you grit at POA or PF? Wtf is this guy talking about? Get him OUT. https://t.co/2Nh8ZFyjjk
Steve Kerr: โWe haven't found that grit that every team needs where you pull together and just play for the group. That's a problem...Until this team really connects in a way that's solely dedicated to winning every game, we're gonna be stuck in this place." https://t.co/AI2ohsGQOe
Thoughts on this game: -Kerr started CP/Curry/Klay/JK combo to start. That unit can't defend. He put Trayce into the starting lineup next to those guys, which is practically setting him up for failure. -Kerr and the coaching staff had no game plan on guarding Luka in the PnR,โฆ
The Warriors are two games below .500 this season. Man, oh man. https://t.co/J57jrAzgLG
Get Steve Kerr off this team. Enough is enough. Resign. Fire him. Whatever. Get him off this team, then make some roster changes.
That's an 0-2 open to this homestand for the Warriors. Already their 8th home loss after eight all of last season. Drops them to 15-17 entering 2024. Klay Thompson 1/11 FG and watched most of 4Q from bench. Warriors couldn't contain Luka Doncic: 38-10-8. Wobbly times.
I know the timing won't make sense because CP had a GREAT game, but Warriors need to move off CP, Klay & Kuminga by the deadline to find roster continuity: CP forces Curry to the 2 - can't do this to Curry at this age Klay offers next to nothing if he's off JK too inexperienced
The game was lost when Kerr elected to start the game with CP/Curry/Klay combo, and JK at PF. Basically set Trayce up for failure in his first start, not to mention playing the almost-36 Curry at SG for the majority of the game. Get Kerr out of here. He won't resign, so fire him
