The WNBA has named Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier as captains for the 2025 All-Star Game after they finished first and second, respectively, in combined fan, player and media voting. Clark received a league-record 1.29 million fan votes, eclipsing her own mark set last year, while Collier drew 1.18 million. The exhibition will be played 19 July at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Clark’s home arena.
Clark and Collier will draft their teams on 8 July during an ESPN broadcast, selecting first from a field of eight additional starters announced Monday. The starters include Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers, the lone first-year player to make the opening lineup, along with Aliyah Boston, Allisha Gray, Sabrina Ionescu, Nneka Ogwumike, Satou Sabally, Breanna Stewart and A’ja Wilson.
Bueckers’ selection caps a strong June that featured a 35-point career high and four 20-plus-point outings in five games. Ogwumike earned her 10th All-Star nod, tying her for the third-most selections in league history. All-Star weekend opens 18 July with the three-point contest and skills challenge; head coaches will be determined by team records through 4 July, and the 12 reserves will be named on 6 July.

Let's put this a different way: The top 30 WNBA fan All-Star vote-getters in 2023, combined: 1,171,258 votes. Caitlin Clark got more fan votes than that, by herself, this year. It's unfathomable how much she has changed the W.
