The Tampa Bay Rays have claimed left-handed pitcher Tyler Alexander off waivers from the Detroit Tigers. The Nationals have cleared another spot on the 40-man roster, with OF Jeremy De La Rosa clearing waivers and getting outrighted to AAA. LHP Matt Cronin, who was DFAd this week, also cleared and was outrighted. Now 39 players on the roster.
