The Boston Red Sox have reinstated outfielder Tyler O'Neill from the 10-Day Injured List. To make room on the active roster, catcher Tyler Heineman has been optioned to Triple-A Worcester. O'Neill will be alternating between the outfield and designated hitter (DH) positions with Rob Refsnyder to maintain both players' health and productivity. In his first game back, O'Neill started in right field and hit a single up the middle on an 0-2 count. The Red Sox matinee lineup against Atlanta included Duran in left field, Valdez at second base, Refsnyder as DH, Devers at third base, O'Neill in right field, Smith at first base, Hamilton at shortstop, Rafaela in center field, McGuire as catcher, and Pivetta as the starting pitcher.
