The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed left-handed pitcher Justin Bruihl as a Major League free agent. Bruihl, who previously played for the Dodgers, Rockies, and Reds, is known for his ability to get out left-handed hitters. To make room for Bruihl on the 26-man roster, the Pirates have placed pitcher Quinn Priester on the 15-day injured list retroactive to June 3 and transferred left-handed reliever Ryan Borucki from the 15-day to the 60-day injured list. No word yet on a corresponding move.
