Major League Baseball (MLB) is facing another gambling scandal as multiple players have been suspended for betting on baseball. Michael Kelly of the Oakland Athletics and Andrew Saalfrank of the Arizona Diamondbacks are among four players suspended for one year. Kelly bet a total of $99.22, while Saalfrank, who is currently in the minors but pitched in last year's World Series, bet $445.87. Former Red Sox prospect Jay Groome has also been suspended for a year. Additionally, a betting ban is possible for a Padres infielder. This marks the first instance of MLB players being suspended for gambling violations since the 2018 Supreme Court ruling on sports betting.
