The Milwaukee Brewers have called up pitcher Tobias Myers, who has had control issues in the past but is known for his lively fastball. Myers was acquired in a trade with the Orioles and has been optioned back to Triple-A after a short stint with the team. The Brewers designated Vladimir Gutierrez for assignment to make room for Myers on the roster.
Tobias Myers’ first stint with the Brewers was a short one. He’s been optioned back to Triple-A and the Brewers say they will make a corresponding move tomorrow in St. Louis. Also RHP Kevin Herget cleared waivers and was outrighted to Nashville.

Talk about a name from the past. The Brewers are calling up Tobias Myers, whom the Orioles drafted in the sixth round in 2016 and then dealt to the Rays for .. wait for it ... Tim Beckham in 2017. Long journey for Myers, who always had a lightning arm but control issues. Congrats https://t.co/EsFjztf9qJ
