Eloy Jiménez played in the outfield for the first time this season on May 19 during the Chicago White Sox’s 7-2 loss to the New York Yankees. Jiménez had a leadoff single to center field during the game. Unfortunately, he later exited the game due to a strained left hamstring and is undergoing further evaluation. Gavin Sheets replaced Jiménez after he experienced the injury while scoring from second base on Corey Julks’ two-run single. The injury was confirmed on May 22.
