The Cleveland Guardians have activated Steven Kwan, their two-time Gold Glove-winning left fielder, from the 10-day injured list. Kwan, who had been sidelined with a hamstring injury, returned to the lineup on Friday. His return comes after the Guardians' nine-game winning streak ended, during which the team managed to stay competitive thanks to a soft schedule and effective situational play. Estevan Florial was designated for assignment to make room for Kwan's activation. Kwan had previously started in Triple-A on Tuesday.
