The London School of Economics (LSE) has been granted a court order indefinitely barring encampments in one of its buildings after students slept in its atrium for more than a month in support of Palestine. This move comes amid a broader wave of pro-Palestine student movements, which have seen successes such as university divestments from Barclays and the resignation of a vice-chancellor, as well as crackdowns including police arrests and court-ordered evictions. Oxford University has also threatened court action against pro-Palestine protesters who have set up an encampment on site. The protests are part of a larger solidarity movement with Gaza, which has faced severe hardships under Israeli occupation, including systematic destruction and a suffocating blockade. Despite threats and suppression, students remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice for Gaza.
