Iran’s Grand Ayatollah Issues Fatwa Calling for Killing Trump and Netanyahu Following Nuclear Strikes, Citing Threats to Supreme Leader Khamenei

Iran's Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has issued a fatwa calling on Muslims worldwide to kill U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling them as "enemies of God" or "muharib," a term in Islamic law denoting an enemy of Allah deserving death. The religious decree follows heightened tensions after Trump-backed operations targeted Iran's nuclear facilities. The fatwa declares that any individual or government threatening Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is committing an act equivalent to enmity against God.

This call to action has raised global concerns about escalating hostility and potential violence. Another senior Iranian Shia cleric, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani, has issued a similar fatwa against Trump and anyone threatening Khamenei. The fatwas are seen as legal religious rulings within Shia Islam and represent a direct response to perceived threats against Iran's leadership.
