Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump for his recent remarks against Iran. During a speech in Riyadh, Trump labeled Iran as the 'most destructive force' in the Middle East, accusing it of fueling regional instability. In response, Pezeshkian, speaking in Kermanshah, stated that Trump's comments reveal a lack of understanding of the Iranian people, emphasizing Iran's resilience and commitment to peace despite ongoing U.S. pressures for the past 47 years. He expressed confidence in Iran's advancement, relying on its scientists, intellectuals, and entrepreneurs.
Iran's Foreign Ministry also condemned Trump's remarks, describing them as 'false, divisive, and misleading.' The ministry accused Trump of attempting to shift blame onto Iran while ignoring the actions of the U.S. and its allies, particularly Israel, in the region. The ministry highlighted the ongoing conflict in Gaza and other regional issues, asserting that Trump's statements were intended to distract from these matters.
Hossein Salami, the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), directly addressed Trump, accusing him of being the 'murderer' of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani. Salami criticized Trump's policies, including sanctions that have blocked access to medicine, and reiterated Iran's stance against U.S. interference. These statements come after the fourth round of indirect talks on Iran's nuclear program and U.S. sanctions were held in Muscat, Oman.
“The president of the United States has launched a new psychological operation against the Islamic Republic,” said the commander in chief of the IRGC, criticizing Donald Trump's remarks about the quality of governance in Iran.
