BlackRock Weighs Selling Aramco Gas Pipeline Stake Back to Energy Giant

BlackRock Inc. is exploring a sale of its stake in the leasing rights to Saudi Aramco’s natural-gas pipeline network, according to a Bloomberg News report citing people familiar with the matter. The talks center on returning the holding to Aramco, the state-controlled energy producer, though discussions remain at an early stage and could still fall apart.

The contemplated divestment would unwind part of BlackRock’s exposure to Saudi Arabia’s midstream infrastructure, acquired when Aramco sought outside capital to monetize pipeline assets. Financial terms under consideration were not disclosed, and representatives for BlackRock and Aramco did not immediately comment on the report.
