The Trump family's crypto ventures, particularly through World Liberty Financial (WLF), a decentralized finance platform, have substantially contributed to this income.

In mid-June 2025, the Trump family reduced their stake in WLF from 60% to 40%, a transaction estimated to have generated around $190 million in proceeds, with about $133 million attributed to Donald Trump. Subsequently, in late June 2025, a United Arab Emirates-based fund invested $100 million in WLF by purchasing digital tokens, becoming the largest publicly known investor in the venture. This investment was made using USD1, a stablecoin developed by WLF. By July 2025, reports indicated that the Trump family's crypto activities, including token sales, a Trump-branded memecoin, and stakes in related digital assets, have added at least $620 million to the president's fortune within a few months, reshaping his estimated $6.4 billion net worth. Crypto holdings now represent approximately 8-9% of Trump's total net worth, overshadowing traditional real estate licensing income. The family also holds a 20% stake in American Bitcoin and a memecoin stake valued at around $150 million.
