Samuel Anthony, who moved to the U.S. from Sierra Leone at age six, was deported back to Sierra Leone by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following a drug crime he committed as a teenager 23 years ago. Despite serving his sentence and rebuilding his life, Anthony was deported to a country he had not visited since his childhood and where he lacks familiarity with the language and culture.
