The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) rescued a worker who fell below ground level in East Hollywood. The worker was rescued earlier today, and the rescue was captured in a photo by Nicholas Pellegrini. In a separate incident, FDNY firefighter Robert Velazquez returned to work at Engine 257, Ladder 170 after recovering from injuries sustained in a 3-alarm fire that claimed the life of fellow firefighter Timothy Klein. Another FDNY firefighter, Jimmy Grillo, along with Tyrone Johnson, were interviewed on 9/11 after narrowly surviving the collapse of one of the towers.
