Sudanese Airstrike on Nyala Airport Kills Emirati Officers, Kenyan Pilot; Targets RSF Cargo with Chinese Systems amid UAE Drone Supply Allegations

A Sudanese military airstrike on Nyala International Airport in South Darfur has resulted in multiple fatalities, including four senior Emirati officers and a Kenyan pilot. The Emirati officers were reportedly supporting Rapid Support Forces (RSF) operations in Darfur and were aboard a military cargo aircraft carrying advanced Chinese jamming and communication systems recently delivered to the RSF leader. The Kenyan pilot, identified as Captain Samson Ohide Lomoro, a prominent South Sudanese aviation professional, was killed along with other crew members, some of whom were Kenyan nationals. Meanwhile, sources indicate that the United Arab Emirates has been supplying drones to the RSF, which has used them in attacks such as on Port Sudan. Satellite imagery and conflict analysis suggest the RSF is equipped with advanced Chinese drones allegedly supplied by the UAE, although the UAE denies these accusations.
