President Ruto Praises Religious Community's Role in Kenya's Development as Kindiki Addresses Church-State Relations

President William Ruto has praised the religious community for its contributions to the development of Kenya. During a consultative meeting with leaders from Murang’a County, Ruto expressed encouragement regarding the commitment of political leaders to collaborate on development initiatives. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki also addressed the relationship between the church and the state, stating that there is no contest between the two entities. He emphasized the government's view of clergy as partners in combating social vices and highlighted the importance of maintaining harmony between the church and government. Kindiki reiterated that the Constitution of Kenya establishes a separation of church and state, affirming the government's respect for faith organizations as valuable partners in enhancing social and economic welfare.
