A Japanese town has reported that tourists have poked holes in a barrier erected to deter them from taking photos of Mount Fuji. The barrier, a large black screen, was installed a week ago in Fujikawaguchiko town, a popular photo spot where residents had complained about littering, trespassing, and traffic violations by visitors. Despite the efforts to block the view, around 10 small holes, just the right size for camera lenses, have been found in the mesh screen. Authorities are working to repair the damage and address the issue of overtourism and bad manners displayed by some tourists.
