The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been accused of providing military support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, despite official denials. A leaked United Nations report presents 'credible' evidence of the UAE's involvement in arming the RSF, a paramilitary group implicated in ethnic violence in Sudan's West Darfur region that resulted in the deaths of between 10,000 and 15,000 people. Investigations by Middle East Eye reveal a network of munition supply lines from the Gulf to the RSF via countries such as Libya, Chad, and Uganda. Sudanese General Yasser al-Atta and other army officers have spoken about the UAE's detrimental influence on the conflict and its support for the RSF, who are responsible for targeted killings of the Black African Masalit population. Political analyst Jalel Harchaoui also indicated that the UAE, along with Russia, has intentions to support the RSF's victory in Sudan, led by Hemeti.
