U.S. B-1 bombers launched from Dyess Air Force Base in Texas on a 6,000+ mile flight to carry out extensive strikes against Iran’s Revolutionary Guard forces and militias in Iraq and Syria. The operation, which involved hitting over 85 targets, was part of a nonstop CONUS to CONUS strike mission. Concurrently, the U.S. Navy responded to attacks in the Red Sea by Iran’s rebel army in Yemen. The U.S. Central Command released footage showing the bombers' takeoff, and the USAF released images of the B-1B Lancer heavy bombers after completing the mission. The strikes also targeted Houthi military positions in Yemen.
