Several disfigured bodies, including a child's corpse without a head or arms, were discovered on the coastline of Antalya last week, leading to initial speculation of a crime ring involvement. However, these bodies are now believed to be those of Syrian refugees who died at sea. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that eight bodies were found on the shores of Antalya and one on Mugla’s coastline in the last six days. Among these, one body found in Antalya belonged to an 18-year-old Turkish citizen, while the rest are presumed to be Syrian refugees. Additionally, one of the bodies discovered in Mugla may belong to a refugee missing since January 6. In a related incident, Cypriot authorities rescued 60 migrants from a small boat off the coast of Cyprus, including children, with some found unconscious and others with broken limbs. The migrants were from Lebanon.
